The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of the University of the Cordilleras (UC) conducted an Information and Education Campaign (IEC) for Grade 6 learners to promote crime prevention, anti-bullying awareness, and the importance of creating a safe and inclusive school community.
The activity provided age-appropriate discussions on recognizing and preventing bullying, respecting the rights and safety of others, making responsible decisions, and responding appropriately to incidents that may threaten the well-being of their peers. To reinforce the lessons, informational pamphlets on anti-bullying were distributed to the learners as practical references they could share and use within their school community.
By equipping young learners with knowledge and encouraging them to practice respect, kindness, responsibility, and peaceful conflict resolution, the initiative contributed to SDG 4 (Quality Education), particularly in promoting safe and supportive learning environments. It also contributes to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), through crime prevention, violence reduction, and the promotion of peaceful communities. Finally, it achieves SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), by supporting learners’ social and emotional well-being and helping foster a school environment where children feel safe and respected.
