The University of the Cordilleras (UC) received recognition for ranking third among top-performing schools under Category A in the August 2026 Licensure Examination for Criminologists during the oathtaking ceremonies for new criminologists and induction of new PCAP members on October 11, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City. Category A covers institutions with 200 or more examinees and at least an 80% passing percentage.
Organized by the Professional Regulation Commission, the Professional Regulatory Board of Criminology, and the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PCAP), the ceremony honored top-performing schools and examination topnotchers alongside the professional oathtaking and membership induction rites. UC’s recognition marks a significant achievement for the University and its successful examinees.
This achievement aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education), particularly Target 4.3, which promotes equal access to affordable and quality technical, vocational, and tertiary education, and Target 4.4, which aims to increase the number of people with relevant skills for employment and decent jobs.
