UC CCJE Strengthens Community Partnerships Through Practicum Orientation

By: Criminology Practicum Interns

On May 7, 2026, representatives from different partner barangays of the college attended an orientation that provided vital information on the deployment of Criminology Practicum 1 interns. This activity is also a testament of strengthening partnerships through open discussions on local concerns. The orientation aimed to provide the barangay officials with essential information regarding the interns’ assigned duty areas, schedules, and conversely the barangay officials/ representatives sharing how the interns can meaningfully contribute to addressing community needs.

This activity aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing students with meaningful experiential learning through community-based practicum; SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by fostering collaboration to address local community concerns and strengthen barangay engagement; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by reinforcing partnerships between the University of the Cordilleras and its partner barangays to support student development and community service.
