The University of the Cordilleras proudly formalized its partnership with the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines – Cordillera Administrative Region (PCAP-CAR) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement on July 7, 2026.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Ariel Nimo B. Pumecha, representing the University of the Cordilleras, and Dr. Virgilio C. Ablaza, Governor of PCAP-CAR, signifying a shared commitment to advancing criminology education, research, professional development, and internationalization.

As an Official Co-Organizer of the International Research Conference on Criminology, Criminal Justice and Policy Innovation (IR3CJPI), PCAP-CAR joins the University of the Cordilleras in promoting research excellence, fostering collaboration among researchers and practitioners, and advancing innovative, evidence-based solutions in criminology and criminal justice.
We extend our sincere appreciation to PCAP-CAR for its partnership and look forward to welcoming everyone to IR3CJPI 2027!
This partnership aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening criminology education, research, and professional development; SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by promoting evidence-based research and innovation to improve criminal justice systems; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering collaboration between the University of the Cordilleras and the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines–Cordillera Administrative Region to achieve shared goals in education, research, and internationalization.
