On May 5, 2023, the BS Criminology interns gathered at the Athletic Bowl for the weekly Internship Battalion Jogging session, primarily designed to promote physical fitness and camaraderie. This endeavor emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle and unity among participants, reinforcing their roles as future leaders within the community.
This Battalion Jogging aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), focusing on health and well-being. Prioritizing physical health and mental resilience, the event underscored the essential role of regular exercise in fostering healthier lifestyles and alleviating stress, particularly crucial for students juggling academic pressures and future career aspirations. Furthermore, this activity fosters the development of peaceful and inclusive communities. Participation in collective activities such as jogging not only strengthens interpersonal bonds among interns but also cultivates a sense of belonging, which is an essential element for establishing supportive networks in their future criminology careers.
The Battalion Jogging event went beyond mere physical activity as it also celebrated health, unity, and personal growth. As the BS Criminology interns took advantage of this opportunity to enhance their wellness and build connections, they also laid the groundwork for a healthier, more cohesive community.
