The International Research Conference on Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Policy Innovation (IR3CJPI) 2027 officially launched through a virtual program, bringing together speakers, partners, researchers, and participants in support of evidence-based and human rights–oriented criminology. Centered on the theme, “Criminology in an Era of Human Rights Under Pressure,” the event highlighted the importance of advancing rights-based policing, strengthening corrections and rehabilitation, and promoting innovative, research-driven responses to contemporary challenges in crime and justice. The organizers also encouraged researchers and practitioners to register and submit papers as preparations continue for the 2027 conference.
The virtual launch aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by promoting justice, accountability, and human rights through research and policy innovation, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by fostering academic collaboration and knowledge sharing, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening cooperation among academic institutions, researchers, and criminal justice professionals to address global justice challenges.
