The University of the Cordilleras – College of Criminal Justice Education (UC CCJE) continues to equip its interns with the academic foundation necessary for success in the upcoming Criminology Licensure Examination. On September 13 and 21, 2025, Criminology Practicum 2 interns attended a two-part Enhancement Review Series at UC Legarda Campus, Room L34, focusing on Forensic Science and Criminal Law Book 1.

The series of lectures aimed to sharpen the knowledge and critical thinking skills of the interns as they prepare for the board exam. On September 13, Dr. Darlito Bernard Delizo facilitated the session on Forensic Science, guiding interns through key principles and practical applications that link theory to investigative practice. A week later, on September 21, Atty. Ben-Ceazar Q. Angel led the lecture on Criminal Law Book 1, clarifying essential provisions and offering strategies for mastering legal concepts.

Interns described the sessions as both challenging and inspiring, with the structured approach allowing them to absorb complex material more effectively. The two-part enhancement review not only reinforced classroom knowledge but also provided an opportunity for interns to interact directly with seasoned practitioners in the field.

This review series is a stepping stone for us to build confidence as we prepare for the board exam. It helps us focus on the essentials while reminding us why we chose this path,” shared one UC intern who joined the lectures.

The initiative reflects UC CCJE’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and preparing future criminologists who are well-rounded, competent, and ready to serve society. It also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4: Quality Education and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, as it emphasizes the importance of accessible, high-quality learning experiences that develop responsible professionals in the field of law enforcement and justice.

Through continuous enhancement sessions, UC CCJE ensures that its interns not only review but also internalize the knowledge and values needed to pursue their professional journey with competence and integrity.
