The University of the Cordilleras’ College of Criminal Justice Education (UC-CCJE) successfully hosted its highly awaited Physical Fitness Day (PFD) for the 3rd trimester of the academic year 2023-2024 on June 23, July 7, and July 14 at the UC Gymnasium aiming to cultivate the students’ discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills pivotal for law enforcement related careers.
Throughout the PFD, participants engaged in a range of activities aimed at enhancing physical fitness and resilience. Beyond just physical exertion, the event provided an invaluable platform for students to engage in meaningful discussions and practical exercises that highlighted the significance of physical readiness in law enforcement and related career paths.
In collaboration with the Philippine Army Officer Candidate School Recruitment Service, experienced officers presented an in-depth overview of the Philippine Army recruitment process. This session addressed various challenges faced during the recruitment journey and offered practical insights on physical conditioning and mental resilience to help students effectively prepare for the demands of the application process and the training itself.
As the event concluded, students departed with not only a deeper understanding of their physical capabilities but also a strengthened sense of camaraderie and dedication to community safety.
