In March 2023, the Locard’s Society of Forensic Science launched an innovative comic series entitled “Buhay 4n6: A Comic Series.” This creative project follows the journey of Forscia, a fictional forensic science student at the University of the Cordilleras. It provides insightful glimpses into the life of a forensic science student and highlights both the challenges and rewards of this discipline. Through Forscia’s narrative, readers will gain a clearer understanding of forensic science, including prevalent misconceptions.

Forscia’s story encourages readers to contemplate the complexities of student life. Her experiences serve not only as a source of inspiration but also as a reminder of the necessity to seize opportunities even in the face of adversity. The comic authentically portrays the delicate balance between personal aspirations and the rigorous demands of forensic science education.

The online comic series explores various subjects within the UC Forensic Science programs, offering students and the public a unique insight into the life of a forensic science student.

The comic series are posted through the Facebook Page of the Locard’s Society of Forensic Science. The Halloween Special posted on October 21, 2023, in particular, became one of the posts with the biggest reach on the Page with 53,000 reactions and 11,000 shares in the platform.

This series promotes the importance of the pursuit of well-being, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3 – Good Health and Well-being. By encouraging students to embrace challenges and support their mental health, the comic serves as a source of motivation for those pursuing careers in forensic science.
