On January 11, 2026, the University of the Cordilleras, College of Criminal Justice Education, held a Traffic Management Seminar at Legarda Road campus in Baguio City. This activity, organized for the Criminology Practicum, aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education) by offering specialized technical training to all Criminology Practicum 1 (CP1) interns from Class SANGHAYA – MAHARLIKA.

The session was facilitated by PCPL Jeefford Calpi, who oriented the students on traffic management principles, guidelines, and responsibilities. This training supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) as well as SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), as improved traffic management is vital for reducing road accidents and creating safer urban environments.

Additionally, the seminar’s emphasis on proper conduct and professional effectiveness promotes SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by preparing future law enforcement officers to serve with accountability. By equipping interns with essential knowledge and awareness, the event ensures they are prepared for their upcoming deployment and related activities. These interns are now better ready to protect the public and maintain order, contributing to the overall safety of the community.
