In a proactive and crucial move to support students’ future careers, the College Student Council (CSC) hosted “Mapping Your Route to Success,” an informative event focusing on career paths for criminology and forensic science students. This initiative serves as a vital service where the student union provides support for studentsby connecting them directly with professional opportunities.
The success of the event relied on the participation of speakers from key government offices, including the Baguio City Police Office, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). By organizing this career guidance event, the CSC—an empowered student body—provides direct, formalized support.

Law Enforcers Giving Career Orientation to Criminology and Forensic Science Interns
The initiative simultaneously engages these major government stakeholders (representing law enforcement and public safety) in an educational capacity, thereby contributing to policy- and lawmakers outreach and education (16.3.2). This structured engagement ensures that academic programs remain responsive to the competencies required in the modern workforce.
Through “Mapping Your Route to Success,” the CSC not only fulfills its role in supporting students but also actively participates in strengthening the strategic linkages between the academe and key government enforcement agencies, ensuring that students pursuing criminology and forensic science are “future-ready” leaders and justice advocates. This activity is aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
