The University of the Cordilleras (UC) is spearheading a national capacity-building effort by collaborating directly with the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) on the transformative “CrimeXperience” project. This strategic partnership underscores UC’s commitment to advancing research and capacity development within national governance structures.

By training PNP personnel and PNPA cadets nationwide, UC is actively engaged in Policy- and lawmakers outreach and education, providing general education and capacity-building to national law enforcement. The formalized collaboration was secured through a meeting between UC officials, including Forensic Science Program Chair Dr. Christian T. Pascual and Ms. Lovely Jenn Reformado, and PNPA key officials, including PMGEN Samuel Nacion. This high-level engagement ensures the technological solutions developed are aligned with the operational needs and policy demands of national law enforcement.
Through the “CrimeXperience” project, UC successfully mobilizes its research and academic resources to directly address the technological and training gaps in national law enforcement, ensuring its contributions translate into tangible improvements in public safety and governance across the country, directly contributing to United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
