UC-CCJE Shines at the 3rd International Conference on Engineering, Social Sciences, and Humanities

The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) at the University of the Cordilleras proudly participated in the 3rd International Conference on Engineering, Social Sciences, and Humanities, held on March 30-31, 2023, in Manila, Philippines. This prestigious event convened experts and scholars from various fields, creating a dynamic environment for research presentations that promoted collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Two distinguished faculty members from CCJE received accolades for their exceptional contributions, reinforcing the university’s dedication to excellence in education and research in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4 and 17, which emphasize quality education and the importance of partnerships for sustainable development.

Ms. Zedny C. Immatong was awarded both “Best Presenter” and “Best Research Paper” for her outstanding research, illustrating her commitment to advancing the field of criminology and its related disciplines. Dr. Robino D. Cawi also received the “Best Research Paper” award, recognizing his critical work addressing salient issues in the social sciences and humanities. These honors exemplify the academic rigor at CCJE and highlight its commitment to SDG 4 by promoting inclusive, equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities.

The conference’s research presentations exemplified a shared commitment to advancing knowledge and enhancing collaboration across academic disciplines, aligning with SDG 17’s focus on strengthening global partnerships for development. The recognition of CCJE faculty during this event further emphasizes the significance of interdisciplinary research in tackling complex societal challenges.
